hello!!!today was a crazy day. wow. it was like a dream. ok, lets start from the beginning. After school, chua came to my house to eat lunch! then, we took a taxi to ASD. well, that place was a HDB flat, we were so lost there as the staircases go to different places, so we tried and tried, in the end, the last one was correct!! then chua knocked on the door and many dogs started barking. it was scary i tell you. after a few knocks, an old lady who was shorter than chua and me opened the door! ( chua was happy cause theres somebody shorter than her. hee) the old lady gave us a contact number and she brought us to see two cute little puppies which ASD adopted!! they were sososososo cute!!!
After that, we decided to take a taxi to animal league which was at pasir ris and it cost us $17.40!! We were afraid that we didn't have enough money. But we took the risk. When we reached there, the place was very deserted. It didn't look like singapore at all!! It looked more like malaysia!!! But we still went in. There were alot alot of doggies inside. More than a hundred!! Scary, but nice. We searched for the person in-charge but he said they don't accept volunteers and he asked us to go opposite. So we went out but didn't find anything. We met a black stray dog outside. It was so scary!! It barked at us and started chasing us. So we tried to stay calm. Then the indian man riding a bicycle said, " girl, no scared." Then we figured out that dog was his doggy. Phew! After that we went back to the same place and on the way, we met a man fishing at the canal. Chua took a picture of it. The water was very very muddy, but we saw turtles. hee!
Back at the animal league, we saw people bringing food for the doggies so we decided to ask one of them about volunteering. the said we were too young and didnt want any help with raising funds. HERE COMES THE EXCITING PART. WHERE ON EARTH ARE WE GOING TO FIND A TAXI?! for the first time, we felt very VERY VERY lost and scared. so chua and i started walking towards the HDB flats we saw. however, when we reached the end of the road, we saw many stray dogs and somehow, we couldnt see the HDB flats anymore. we then turned back as the dogs were scary. on the way back, we were so scared we would get kidnapped as there were many trucks and lorries and vans. and some of them had their doors open. luckily, we saw a taxi coming and the taxi driver asked us if we needed help to get out! inside the taxi sat a man and his wife. at that time, we hesitated but we still accepted his offer as we were very tired walking around.
The taxi driver dropped all of us at the main road and told us to take another taxi cause he wanted to fetch his son. We didn't get what he meant and did not understand why we should take another taxi with those two people. We thought that they were going to kidnap us(again).But we still went with them.In the taxi chua and I were very nervous. The two people dropped of at turf city and gave us $17 to pay for the taxi fare and they left. Finally, we reached my house and the taxi fare cost $18.70. we felt so so relieved, happy and safe.
what a day!! it really felt like and adventure. WOW.
